Kaya ko pala


I decided to join this challenge to help me push myself more in reaching my fitness goals. Last year, I was already doing WODs for almost three months (I joined CFMNL late October 2015). I went to the box every day and did all the WODs as much as i could. Yes I have seen results, but not really that much. Real progress started showing up when I was already doing the Bootcamp Challenge. Inches were lost and old clothes started to fit in, and it felt awesome! Was it difficult? I would be lying if I said it was easy. Choosing what to eat became a hassle. Most convenient stores and our office canteen offer limited food choices the challenge allows us to consume. Since my carb intake was low, it somehow reduced my energy and affected my performance in doing WODs. But as days went by, I got accustomed with the routine. Since the results are remarkable, I am considering continuing this lifestyle even though the challenge is now over.


One thing I could say that I gained from this experience is self-confidence. Sometimes when I look at myself in the mirror, I still can’t believe what I see. The change feels surreal. Waves and waves of compliments go by as the clothes just start to fit one by one. Since I still have a long way to go, I’d like to consider that this challenge served as a push from which I can use the momentum to continue progressing and to further reach my fitness goals.


I am so grateful that I joined this challenge, because through it, I discovered that I can do anything with perseverance and dedication. Kaya ko pala, magagawa siya. It’s all mental. Your body is capable if you just put your mind to it. It is possible to achieve greatness as long as you’re willing to step out of your comfort zone and get after it.
