Getting down with our daily grind at the gym is one way to get our belly flabs out of the way but one thing we commonly foresee is our daily meal plans that comes hand-in- hand with working out. Hence, here are three tips to help reduce the flabs.
Natural Over Processed
We hear natural and organic all the time and it might sound all too cliché to actually be part of our everyday lifestyle. In all honesty, organically grown and naturally harvested food should be on the high list of things to buy if you want to be healthy. Forget all those fat trimming supplements and artificial detoxifiers. Instead, focus on eating more real food and you’ll reap more good benefits than bad, such as better digestion and beating energy gaps.
Sometimes, we can’t really tell if something is processed or natural unless it’s heavily advertised but one thing you can do is look at the packaging. Most naturally grown food are packed minimalistically such as plastic wrapping or bags and they usually spoil faster. Processed food are packed in cans and jars and are purposely packaged for longer shelf life. Natural is the way to go!
Release Your Inner Caveman
Paleo, short for Paleolithic, also known as the Caveman Model for Nutrition is a nutritional regimen completely ridding the consumption of high-glycemic carbohydrate food such as white rice, white bread, potatoes, sweets, soda, and the like. Food with high glycemic indexes raise blood sugar too rapidly which might lead to the development of various diseases such as diabetes or hypertension. The human body is believed to be under evolved to consume food the advances in agriculture has put on our plates. By maintaining a Caveman model for nutrition, the body adjusts back to its “Caveman” adaptations and the body is believed to perform at its highest caliber.
Above All, Watch Your Calories!
Calories are one of the most overlooked aspects of food ever. And when I say “ever”, I mean EVER. You might ask, “Who looks at the back of the food carton anyway?” The answer is simple. You should. Calories are basically units of energy. If you consume too much calories, the tendency is, when not burned properly, will be stored as flabs and you don’t want that. You want to consume enough calories to make it through the day and with the right regimen, you’ll burn fat before you know it. You can try different meal plans such as the Paleo mentioned above but just don’t stop there!
